University of Scranton Online MBA & Dual MBA-MHA - No GMAT Required
The University of Scranton Kania School of Management offers a fully online MBA with a general track or one of eight concentrations: accounting, enterprise resource planning, healthcare management, human resources management, international business, finance, supply chain management (SCM), and business analytics. The online MBA works from a flex curriculum which allows students to focus on their specific professional goals and interests. Students can choose from core courses and three to six electives allowing a great deal of diversity in the study path. Only the cornerstone and capstone course are required for all students. Students may also earn up to two specializations within the 36-credit program.
This online MBA program prepares students to face today’s business challenges, creating proactive leaders who are able to make ethical business decisions. Students also learn sustainable business practices, effective decision-making skills, how to create delivery systems, and global perspectives.
A dual MBA-MHA program is also offered and is designed to provide students with a comprehensive business administration and health administration degree in less time than it would take to complete them separately, saving 13 to 18 credits. Graduates will be prepared to effectively manage business and finance aspects of healthcare organizations while simultaneously fulfilling administrative roles.
Seamlessly woven into all degree paths are the Jesuit learning traditions of ethics and social responsibility. Professionals applying to these programs are required to have at least three years of supervisory or professional work experience and may come from a variety of backgrounds which adds to the diversity of the programs. The school is located in Scranton, Pennsylvania and its graduates may move into a variety of careers depending on their specialization. Positions may include management analyst, revenue manager, chief operating officer, director of ERP development, ERP operations director, hospital administrator, healthcare services director, benefits manager, director of human resources, and international marketing manager, among others.
