Carlow University Online MBA, Executive MBA & Dual MBA-MSN
Carlow University offers several online master of business administration (MBA) degree pathways to meet the needs of varying business professionals. The traditional online MBA program offers a choice of five specializations, including project management, fraud and forensics, healthcare management, human resource management, and leadership and management.
Students choose one of these specializations and can complete the degree in 15 to 24 months. Start dates land in January, May, and August.
Those interested in a dual MBA have two choices. A master of science in nursing pathway (MSN-MBA) earns graduates an MSN in education and leadership along with an MBA. A master of social work pathway (MSW-MBA) earns graduates an MSW in direct practice or macro practice, plus an MBA. The direct care specialization prepares social workers to treat individuals and families in trauma-focused care. The macro practice specialization prepares graduates to serve populations in the areas of advocacy and social justice, affecting change organizationally and publicly.
Notably, there are two entry points for the online MSW-MBA: one for those who already hold a bachelor of science in social work (advanced standing) and one for those who have some other type of bachelor’s degree. The dual degrees include clinical sessions or residencies local to the student.
Finally, Carlow University offers an executive MBA (E-MBA) to business professionals with at least five years of full-time business-related work experience. This accelerated program is completed in just 40 weeks and offers entry points in October and January as a cohort.
The MBA programs are accredited by the International Accreditation Council for Business Education (IACBE). Additionally, the MSN program is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) and the MSW program is accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE).
